CLOSURE FORMATS
Cap appearance, neck fit and pouring performance need to work together. The dimensions below identify the available cap formats; they do not replace a bottle-neck drawing or a fit test.
| Nominal cap format | Configuration | Selection notes |
|---|---|---|
| 31.5 × 24 mm | Compact body | Short profile; confirm the compatible insert and bottle finish. |
| 31.5 × 44 mm | Extended body | Taller exterior profile; confirm capping clearance. |
| 33 × 44 mm | Premium format | 180° rolled-edge configuration shown in the technical reference. |
| 33 × 52 mm | Premium extended format | Non-rolled-edge configuration; height adjustment subject to drawing approval. |
Dimensions are nominal cap diameter × height. Different formats may require different bottle finishes and internal assemblies.
OPENING & POURING

Tamper-evident openingA breakable opening feature provides visible evidence of first opening. Confirm the band or ring design on the selected assembly and evaluate opening performance on the actual bottle. Pourer insertAn internal pouring component guides the oil stream. Request sample testing with your oil to assess flow, residual dripping and resealing after use. |
Three assembly referencesThe technical reference shows a basic assembly, a pop-up spring assembly and a wire-spring assembly. These are configuration alternatives; they should not be described as interchangeable without fit confirmation. Non-refillable requirementIf your application requires a non-refillable closure, specify this separately. Tamper evidence alone does not establish resistance to refilling. The exact mechanism and performance need confirmation. |
CUSTOM DECORATION
Discuss shell colors, top and side printing, hot stamping and embossing for your selected format. Decoration availability depends on the cap structure and artwork. Approve a physical sample to check color, logo positioning and the finished appearance beside your bottle label.
Provide your logo, color reference and intended placement.
Confirm dimensions, insert function and neck compatibility.
Check appearance, opening, pouring and resealing before production.
PRODUCTION PLANNING
The production route is selected for the approved closure assembly. It may include aluminum preparation and decoration, shell forming, plastic component molding, secondary decoration, component assembly, inspection and packing. The sequence and equipment used vary by format.
MANUFACTURING & EQUIPMENT
Our partner manufacturing facilities provide the production and engineering capabilities shown below. These photographs are taken from the supplied manufacturing reference and illustrate general closure-making equipment. They are not presented as a dedicated olive oil cap line or as facilities owned by Colors Glass.

01 / MANUFACTURING REFERENCE Aluminum Sheet PrintingSheet printing establishes the artwork before cap forming. The manufacturing reference shows a FUJI offset printing and coating line. Color references, print positions and the formed-cap appearance should be reviewed together during sample approval. |

02 / MANUFACTURING REFERENCE Aluminum Surface FinishingThe reference includes a roll-coating line for aluminum surface treatment. This is a metal-finishing process used in closure manufacturing. The coating system and relevant material documents should be confirmed for the selected product. |
|
03 / MANUFACTURING REFERENCE Cap Forming & Automated ProductionCap production requires forming equipment and tooling appropriate to the selected shell geometry. The reference includes stamping equipment and automated production equipment from SACMI and other manufacturers. Final dimensions and tool requirements depend on the cap format. |

04 / MANUFACTURING REFERENCE Plastic Component Injection MoldingInjection molding produces the plastic components used inside closure assemblies. The reference shows high-speed injection molding equipment. Insert geometry, material grade and bottle-neck engagement must be confirmed for each selected assembly. |
|
05 / MANUFACTURING REFERENCE Roll Printing for Closure DecorationThe reference lists CALF and OMSO roll-printing equipment. Printing capability supports the review of decoration positions and artwork on closure components. The available printing method and color configuration are confirmed for the chosen format. |

06 / MANUFACTURING REFERENCE Hot Stamping for Brand DetailsThe equipment reference identifies a MADAG hot-stamping machine. Hot stamping can be considered for metallic logos or details, subject to the cap geometry, artwork and required finish. Physical samples provide the basis for appearance approval. |
|
07 / MANUFACTURING REFERENCE Component Assembly & Production HandlingAutomated manufacturing equipment supports component handling and production operations. The exact assembly route depends on the selected shell, insert and functional components. Confirm the approved configuration before production rather than assuming every insert can use the same assembly setup. |

QUALITY CONTROL
| Control area | What the reference establishes | What to agree for your order |
|---|---|---|
| Incoming materials | The reference describes fixed material suppliers and grades, supplier quality agreements and retained incoming-material samples. | Material specification, traceability requirements and applicable food-contact documentation. |
| Appearance | High-speed automatic inspection and a visual inspection interface are shown. | Relevant defects, decoration approval, acceptance limits and inspection coverage. |
| Dimensions & assembly | Tooling and development equipment are shown; specific tolerances are not established here. | Approved drawings, component fit and dimensional acceptance criteria. |
| Bottle performance | No model-specific test results are supplied for the selected olive oil assembly. | Bottle fit, opening, leakage, pouring, resealing and any non-refillable requirement. |
DEVELOPMENT & SAMPLE APPROVAL
Start with the bottle-neck drawing or sample and your preferred cap format. Review insert requirements, decoration feasibility and any tooling changes. Evaluate physical samples for fit, first opening, pouring and resealing before approving the order.
Sampling time, custom tooling charges and production lead time are quoted separately according to the project. The equipment shown supports general engineering discussions and does not guarantee that every requested design is feasible.
PACKING & DELIVERY
Confirm carton quantity, carton dimensions, gross weight, pallet arrangement and labeling requirements for the selected closure. Packing and handling should protect the approved finish and maintain the condition of internal components. Final packing data and shipping terms are provided with the quotation or order confirmation.
BOTTLE & LINE MATCHING

Send a bottle-neck drawing or physical bottle sample together with details of your capping equipment. We can review the required closure format and coordinate sample evaluation before the order is finalized.
A matching nominal diameter does not guarantee fit. Final suitability depends on the bottle, closure assembly and capping process.
